This is actually a long time coming. I finished spinning this yarn weeks ago (back in June). I just hadn’t been able to bring myself to take the newly spun yarn off the bobbin. It looked so pretty there!

Weekend Wrap-Up: More to Love!
After a crazy week that limited the amount of time I could knit, this big guy is finally starting to take shape! He now has hands, feet, and a nose. All that is left is to knit up his eyes, tongue, one more ear, horns, and wings. He also needs a little bit of a nose job; I think I want to tack it down a little more. So many details!
My New Wheel!
Let me introduce you to Herbert, my brand new spinning wheel. After months of completely subtle hints, my family pulled together and bought me my very first spinning wheel for my birthday a couple weeks ago.

DFW Fiber Fest 2013

Spinning, spinning, spinning
And no knitting. Well, that’s not completely true. I have been knitting during my lunch walks, but at home, it’s been nothing but spinning.
FO: Bosc Scarf
I’m not sure where the time went on this piece! I started the first weekend of March. By the time I looked down on Sunday, I was nearing the end.
And the winners are!
Drum roll please!
WIP: Something Simple
I’m obsessed with Knit Picks, if you haven’t guessed that yet. One of my favorite things about their podcast is listening to Kelley Petkun talk about her many projects. She has one for every single kind of knitting mood/situation you can imagine. I don’t think I can juggle as many as her, but I’ve been adding to my WIP pile again.
