After having a decommissioned wrist for a couple weeks (long story) and finally figuring out a way to work around it (temporarily knitting that other, English way), I have made progress! Not just progress. In fact, I have cast something off.
If you’re a Whovian, yesterday was a big day. Ok, understatement, it was a huge day! Rumors had been spreading for months, only recently confirmed in June I think, that Matt Smith would be stepping down from his role. Throw in some wild speculation, betting, and now we have our twelfth doctor!
My week has been filled with geek-related projects, and I have been loving it. Add to that, I have had Firefly, Doctor Who, and The IT Crowd to keep me company. It’s been a good week.
I’ve got my “costume” all ready for work. It’s a bit haphazard and more inspired by than actual costume. The hat was thrown together this morning with felt and superglue, but you might recognize the knit bow from a much earlier post. Those pieces, black trousers, a brown jumper and my new shoes make up the extent of my “costume.” Can you guess who my inspiration is?
It’s nearly here! Halloween is a little over a week away. I don’t know about you, but I have no idea what I’m going to dress up as. Being a Wednesday this year makes it tough. Here’s a round-up of some of the crafty ideas for costumes and props that have been floating around my head (ok, so some of these are just dreams of what I wish I could do this year but will probably have to wait until next due to time):
