I’m posting a little later than usual in the day today. I have a reason. Whether it’s a good one or not, I can’t say. What’s the reason? I was knitting.
This post shouldn’t be called “Lunch Break WIP.” This should be “Every spare moment I get WIP” because I can’t seem to put this project down, and I’m not typically a monogamous knitter. I haven’t even looked around at other patterns on Ravelry, which is usually a daily ritual (several times a day to be exact).
I was not a very happy knitter this weekend. One of my projects completely misbehaved, and then the cats helped it misbehave more. Needless to say, that project was tossed up onto the time-out shelf, and I haven’t gone near it since.
Ok, since my confession of becoming newly addicted to podcasts, I keep finding more and more great ones to listen to and/or watch! That’s good because I keep waking up earlier and earlier (4 am now thanks to the stupid time change), and I now have tons of time in the mornings to relax, knit, and enjoy a great podcast.
I finished something! I’m quite pleased! Aside from the sweater, it feels like it’s been so long since I had an FO.
Ok, usually the weekly wrap-ups for the sweater challenge this month have been on Friday, but I couldn’t wait! For one thing, Friday this week is November 1st, the day after the challenge’s end. Second of all, I’m done!
I cast off! Yay! I wish I could say that that meant I was all done with the sweater challenge. In truth, the challenge has yet to begin.
The 30 Day Sweater Challenge is still going strong. There’s just over a week to go to the finish line. As the end gets closer, I’ve been daydreaming more and more about what sweater to work on next. That’s what drew me to Boyfriend Sweaters: 19 Designs For Him That You’ll Want to Wear by Bruce Weinstein, photography by Jared Flood from Potter Craft.
I’m really bad at finishing projects. Often, once I cast off, I consider a project done. That’s not entirely true. There’s more work to be done, but I tend to put off the finishing for as long as I can.
