A Few More Additions

New yarns!

For the record, these were purchased before the “Buy less yarn” goal last week. These are what inspired that goal, which I failed at miserably that very weekend. *Deep breath* My name is Ana, and it has been 4 days since I last bought yarn. Thank you.

Amazing Birthday Present: New Yarn

Madeline Tosh Merino Superwash in Fingering Weight in colour Tart

Yesterday was, all in all, a pretty good day. We (folks at the office) went to work, and I was even serenaded by someone with a morbid birthday song. It was so much fun. As the afternoon wound down, I was feeling pretty good, though exhausted from allergies. Then, what do I see?

Setting things up

Choosing the right yarn can be so difficult!

Kool-Aid Dyed Yarn Pt. 2

Kool-Aid Dyed Yarn

Last week, my friend Stacie came over and helped me dye some yarn. Originally, she was going to help me paint the frames for the living room, but I jumped the gun and finished before she got here. While cleaning up, I found some of the Kool-Aid packets I had purchased a couple months back for my Kool-Aid Cowl. She’s an artist and loves colour. It seemed like the perfect match!

Lessons learned while spinning

Left: currently spinning
Right: first spinning

I’ve taken to spinning more than I thought I ever would. After buying the kit two or so years ago and barely using it, I figured spinning just wasn’t in my stars. Lately, though, I seem to have a need to pick it up whenever I have a spare moment.
