As part of my stash-busting efforts lately, I wanted to give my Kindle Fire a much-needed cover. I usually just throw the Kindle into my purse and off I go. I’ve realized that is probably not my best idea.
I was listening to the Knit Picks Podcast on my way home from work yesterday and an interesting topic came up. Kelley and Kerin were discussing tips for reading patterns (I’m playing catch-up as I’m way behind). As I listened, my mind kept wandering off and comparing how I read patterns to what their suggestions were, which I found fascinating.
A couple of years back I thought it would be fun to try spinning my own yarn. It seemed simple enough; it looked easy in movies. When we visited Homestead Heritage with my in-laws, I bought a drop spindle kit.
