Finally! I finished the purse. With little Rizzle running around and rearranging things, I hadn’t had time to sew everything together in a few days. My knitting’s been pretty behind as well. Last night, though, I finally got a chance to stitch everything up during a rare nap time.

Knitting Conundrum: Intarsia
Usually when I put “Knitting Conundrum” in the title, I write about an issue I’ve come up against and suggestions on how to fix it or deal with it. This time, though, I’m stuck. This is my current knitting conundrum: Intarsia.
WIP: Hemlock Shawl 2
It’s coming along very slowly, this shawl. You’d think that after having just made one, I’d have realised just how much time this pattern takes. I’m nearing row 30 of 70-ish, so I’m not even quite halfway through.
FO: Chadwick 2.0
I finally finished the second bug. Okay, I say finally, but it didn’t even take a week this time. I guess once I had the rhythm and the pattern down, it really didn’t take much effort to do another caterpillar. I didn’t even have to watch my hands half the time.
WIP: Top-Secret 2.0
I hope everyone had a happy Mother’s Day! I have the fortune of living close enough to my mom to have gotten to spend Mother’s Day with her this weekend. We had a nice, easy couple of days just hanging out.
Sugar ‘n Cream Scrubby

The pink is a bit lighter than this. Photographing in the evening seems to have changed the way the colour shows up.
Last night I decided a good small project between Chadwick and the shawl would be to knit up a swatch with the Sugar ‘n Cream Scrubby yarn. I’ve been kind of envisioning a cotton and scrubby washcloth that could be given as part of a baby present, so I figured now was as good a time as any to try this stuff out. I’ll note, real quickly before I start writing too much, that I am in no way affiliated with the Bernat brand. I bought the yarn for $3.99 (and tax) at Michaels.
WIP: Top Secret Chadwick
Well I did it. I made progress. It would seem smoothing out some of the chaotic parts of my life has helped me refocus my energies a bit more. I’ve been completely stressing out over a lot of small things and a couple of really big things. I developed a system that’ll work at work yesterday, managed to pull together ingredients to make chicken broth in the slow-cooker, and even cleaned the house (a little). After that, I knitted. Something must’ve clicked back!
Chadwick: The Super Secret Project
I have been working on a super top secret project the last couple of days. I can’t share all the specifics just yet, but here’s the sneak peek.
