Most of the items on my to-do list yesterday got pushed aside. I didn’t bother cleaning house (which for once isn’t in much of a terrible state) or work or anything else. Other than a brief hour to hour and a half when my brothers stopped by to hang out and bug me, I spent the entire evening knitting. It was glorious.

The Versatile Blogger
Last week, Hannah of Not Your Average Crochet was so very kind to give me the Versatile Blogger Award. I have to admit, she kind of made my day with that. So, before I say anything else, I would like to thank Hannah.
Memorial Day Catch-Up
It took just about the entire weekend to pick out what I wanted to make with the new yarn my brother gave me. I knew I wanted a shawl so I could show off the colours of the yarn, but I wasn’t entirely sure what to go with.
Amazing Birthday Present: New Yarn
Yesterday was, all in all, a pretty good day. We (folks at the office) went to work, and I was even serenaded by someone with a morbid birthday song. It was so much fun. As the afternoon wound down, I was feeling pretty good, though exhausted from allergies. Then, what do I see?
Camp NaNoWriMo
I know what you’re thinking. This is a knitting blog, and this is two posts in a row that have nothing to do with knitting. She’s incorrigible. I really am. But, it’s my birthday and I’ll write what I want to. Tee-hee.
DIY Painted Rhinestone Bracelet
I have been absolutely enamoured with the recent trend of painted rhinestone jewellery. I think it’s so much fun and a great way to incorporate colour, but it can be a bit pricey at times, depending on where you look. So, I decided I’d try my hand and make something for myself.
WIP: Hemlock Shawl 2
It’s coming along very slowly, this shawl. You’d think that after having just made one, I’d have realised just how much time this pattern takes. I’m nearing row 30 of 70-ish, so I’m not even quite halfway through.
WIP: Android bunny?
I think it’s safe to say at this point that I messed up. It’s not the pattern; I know that for sure. The pattern is great! It was me. Somewhere along the way, I messed something up, and now I have a green, android bunny.
WIP: Android Toy
He’s going to need a name, I think. The cuter he gets, the more I think my Android actually needs to be named. I don’t know what yet.
Setting things up
I didn’t get a lot done last night, but I did sit down to my stash and figure out what yarn I want to use on my Android project. This is probably the most thinking I’ve done when it came to colour. I have a few different neon-ish greens. One is cotton, one acrylic, and one actual wool.
